Run the setup programme
This information is only applicable to versions 7-11 of the Executive Series
The set-up programme automatically installs an appropriate version of the template for each version of Microsoft Word on your computer, and it registers the copy, and installs the copy protection system.
- Close any software which is running
- If you will be registering over the Internet, ensure that you have an internet connection already active
- If you will be registering by phone, ensure you do not have an active internet connection.
- Make sure you have the serial number to hand. It is either on a sticker on the product packaging, or it will have been communicated to you by e-mail.
- If you are running the set-up programme from a CD, insert the CD in your CD/DVD drive. The set-up programme starts automatically. Otherwise, locate the set up programme, and double click on it.
- If no version of Word can be found on your computer the set-up will abort. Install a version of Word and re-run the setup programme
- Registering over the Internet The copy protection system is then installed. If you are installing over the internet, you will be asked for the serial number, and for some information about yourself.
- Registering by Phone If no internet connection can be found, you will be supplied with an installation code, which is specific to your particular machine. You need to communicate your serial number and the installation code to Gate Seven, and you will receive back an activation code which enables the software to run on your computer.
- You can contact Gate Seven by phone, at (+44 (0)20 7613 0396) during normal office hours.
- Once the product is registered, the set-up wizard appears and gathers the necessary information for installation.
- Finally the template files and fonts are installed onto your computer.
If you are installing to Widows Vista or later ensure you set the permissions on the various folders as described in this page
